Other healthcare professionals may consult their licensure board to verify that their participation counts toward CE requirements.* "The relationship to our body is the longest long-term relationship we'll ever have." We all have a body, which means we all have a body story - the latter being impacted by the many intersections of identities we carry, as well as individual lived experiences. While most people assume body image is solely defined by how we see and feel about our external self, there's so much deeper work to be explored. In this course, participants will learn that, although body image counseling may be complicated for ourselves and clients to process, it can also be a powerful (and sometimes necessary) tool in the recovery journey. Objectives: 1. Identify and Define the 4 Aspects of Body Image 2. Understand the differences between weight-centric and weight-neutral approaches to health and how this ties to body image work 3. Learn at least 3 tangible body image activities/practices you can utilize during individual sessions or group therapy settings with clients
